Dear Memembers:

This December LAMP meetup, we will have a joint event with another meetup Group ( Tish Wood's) at the Sun's campus. Please see details below:

Meetup Members,

Due to the hectic Holiday Schedule in these trying economic times, people's schedules are in a state of flux. Therefore, we have deferred announcing our December Meetup until the last minute as we tried to confirm who would be available to speak. Tentatively, we have two speakers: Scott Chacon of GitHub will speak on Git source control...and Robert Gonzales, who will speak on PHP Design Patterns. However, due to Scott Chacon's status as a traveling Evangelist (I hope this is the politically correct term and spelling)...for GitHub, so he may have to cancel at the last minute. We have two possible substitutions for this Scott should he be unavailable:

(1) Sun Microsystems may have a speaker available to speaker on their SAMP solution:
Solaris Apache MySQL PHP stack...

(2) a peer-to-peer Q&A where you can ask about answers you wonder about for the project you are
working on...or your "dream project" you have been thinking about...to be managed by tonight's Meetup Coordinator.

Per Greater San Francisco Bay Apache LAMP Meetup standard practices, the 45 minute sessions will consisit of:

- 30 minute (*** UNINTERRUPTED ***) Presentation by our Speaker, followed by

- 15 minute Q&A...whose beginning and end will be controlled by the Speaker.

*** UNINTERRUPTED *** means we will not tolerate interrupting the speaker's presentation with questions before they are called for! Please be courteous to the Speaker and other Meetup Members....and wait for the Q&A!

*** YOU MUST RSVP BY NOON PACIFIC TIME, THURSDAY, DEC. 18TH, LIMITED TO 40 MEMBERS ***

You are welcome to join in this discussion.

I would like to thank Jacob Heuser from Gaia Online for hosting this event.
