MySQL Workshop

Hi,

Welcome to First MySQL Meetup in Bangalore. We have got the final agenda of Bangalore Meetup.

Start time: 5.30 PM, will go till 7:45 PM

1. MySQL Optimization:
· Do your applications slow down during busy times?
· Are you having difficulties pinpointing performance bottlenecks?
· Will finding and fixing performance issues take weeks of time and expertise that you just don't have?
This one hour workshop will give you an overview of how you can make your MySQL database a high performance database.
Speaker: Ms. Sonali Minocha, India?s first MySQL certified Instructor and India?s first MySQL certified DBA.
2. Demenstration of 'Monyog' - a monitoring tool by WebYog
At this meeting we will briefly (10 minutes) present Webyog (its ideas, concepts and history) and the 'old' product: the SQLyog program. After that we will (20-25 minutes) demonstrate the new product 'Monyog' - a monitoring tool for the MySQL Server. Current version is 0.13 - but maybe it will be 0.15 on Thursday! We will show its current capabilities and present the plans for near future.

Speakers:

Sabyasachi Ruj: Sabya has been with Webyog for + 6 months now. He has developed our Customer Portal (in Python + PHP), taken part in development of the Webyog 'flagship' product SQLyog (in C++ and PHP). He is now part of the MONyog team with responsibility for building Monyog (with C++ and
javascript) on Linux.
Pater Laursen: joined Webyog as mainly a documentationist about
1 1/2 year ago. He has been working from his home in Denmark but is now (From October last year until April this year) with Webyog in Bangalore. He now does QA, Test, Product Management & Planning, Customer Support and Documentation.
